evidence

Juliet still has some shitty teenage poetry left in her, first attempt this year. Enjoy.

We're sewn together and then ripped a part,
at the seams, thread torn from thread.
and the cloak we pulled together as
is ruined forever,
and yet not entirely seperate
from each other.
as the flagging threads still conjoin
broken threads stay there
as a lasting reminder
as a memory, a feeling.
something to prove that we were once here.

before long we will be restitched to others,
reconstructed.
but while there are still threads bowing,
we will never stick together properly again,
we have fallen on the wayside.
but there are lasting memories, feelings,
something that proves that we were once here.

It's about how you get bound to people for so long, 2 weeks, a year, years, and then suddenly it stops. And how ever long it lasted for and whyever it just stopped doesn't matter because soon it will be a new person and a new cord. You don't think of the person, but it still shapes you.
